Orange wanted to combine their disparate Group intranets into 1 central area. LBi were tasked with creating a visual design that presented the organisation as one. The design needed to conform to strict brand guidelines and become an exemplar piece of orange branding in the online space.
Our design solution uses the key thought of ‘together its just better’ and communicates this through the simple idea of a connecting line that wraps around the content and ends in a positive, group scene. We commissioned a series of illustrations to work with the key areas of the site. The scenes including a group of people; enjoying a sunset, growing a garden, flying a kite, taking a group picture and painting a large canvas. A series of mini-scenes are used to bring the character style into the page, encouraging users to join a working group, find people, add a comment. The section health (amount of new content) is communicated through two characters painting a progress line. The result is a charming, engaging interface that provides an optimistic and on-brand message to all orange staff.
