Multimap‘s challenge was to deliver an easy-to-use online mapping experience for everyday consumer use. It saw improved mapping and enhanced functionality as key to growing its audience share (thereby increasing revenues through advertising and affiliate marketing) ; while higher value mapping solutions and targeted advertising capabilities would grow its share of the corporate market .

The result was a ‘slow burning affair' - an experience designed and built by LBi to make it easy for people to engage with Multimap and build value over time. It enables users to fully experience a set of features in their own time – an approach that encourages deeper use and further exploration. It worked; revenue generated in this way has increased considerably since the site re-launch.
