ITN Source is the world's leading provider of motion imagery. It has an unrivalled collection of content with over 800,000 hours of iconic footage dating back to 1896, and over 25 hours of new footage added daily.
ITN Source wanted to use the Internet to expand its business to new geographical markets and new market sectors (in addition to its broadcast clients), reduce costs and improve its value proposition to clients.
The target audience ranges from individual businesses requiring specific footage clips to small creative agencies, international broadcasters and everything in between.
Working closely with ITN Source's branding agency LBi developed a rich, flexible and engaging design that met the specified business requirements and moved the potential audience beyond the traditional research audience, towards a creative and eventually commercial marketplace.
LBi delivered a content-managed website in June 2006 corresponding with ITN's corporate re-branding. Since then, we have launched two further releases enabling users to search video content by keywords, date or copyright, view digitised clips online (including a new collection of “stock footage” of particular value to creative agencies), select, manage and sub-clip content, and price, purchase and download it from the site.
